Massive Belt of Comets and Asteroids Orbits Star 49 Ceti
Zuckerman at UCLA has a new theory that every 6 seconds comets ~1 mile diameter collide, releasing enough CO gas to explain the "17 year old CO gas cloud mystery surrounding star 49 Ceti." 49 Ceti's Kuiper belt analogue is 4,000 times larger than the sun's. Hundreds of trillions of comets are required to release enormous amounts of the CO gas that surrounds the star. This mystery is in no way solved by inventing another extraordinarily near unseen undetected binary star companion to collaborate with gravity cosmology interpretations. There is no observable evidence that any comets are colliding. Star age dating models by the amounts of remaining gases are gross conditional environmental approximations and poorly interpreted as related to gravitational formation theories and stellar ages.
